Changes
Because Daisy and I are spending so much time together, people are getting suspicious of our actions. The people, who work at me house, the maids, and cooks, are starting to talk. I needed to stop them before they started to spread rumors about me. I fired my entire staff and hired a whole new crew of workers. The new staff members at my house are all connected to Meyer Wolfsheim. As I spend more time with Daisy, I realize more and more how much she has changed since she's married Tom. It’s like she’s a completely different person. She cares about materialistic things more than she used to.

Business Proposal/Daisy
As many of you know I am lucky enough to be very wealthy. However, not many people know how I made my fortune. There is much speculation about it. Some people say that I made my money from drugstores. Others say that I make my money from bootlegging. Because of prohibition, which makes it illegal to produce, sell, or drink alcoholic beverages, people who want to drink have to find an unlawful way to do it. Bootlegging is a term given to people who smuggle alcohol in their leggings of their shoes. I am beginning to trust my neighbor Nick. He knew that I wanted to spend some time with Daisy and he agreed to help me out. He invited her to tea at his house. He then told me when she was going to arrive so that I could come and see her, leaving her with no choice other than talking to me. I noticed that Nick is not doing so well with his career. I told him that I would be willing to offer him a job with me to make some money on the side. He has not gotten back to me on that yet.

My Parties
Every Saturday night I host huge parties. I enjoy using my house as the setting for these extravagant parties. I have to admit that I have ulterior motives for throwing my parties. Every Saturday night that I have a party I am reaching out to my dearest Daisy. I want her to come to one of my parties so that I can see her again. We were as close as two people could be. I lost her when I left to go to war, without having told her my feelings for her. While I was gone she went and married Tom Buchanan. On this particular night I met my new neighbor, Nick. I had my butler deliver an invitation to him. Half of the people that come were not even invited, they just show up. It’s the same people, having the same conversations about the latest gossip. A lot of the people who come to my parties have never even seen me, or they have seen me and not known who I am. I enjoy watching everyone from behind the scenes of the party. I spoke with Nick about being in the military, and it turns out that he and I served in the same unit.
